Belated Memory #1

    While reminiscing over some pictures of my very first year of teaching [which will be over in just 10 1/2 more school days!], I was reminded of how absurd Valentines Day was this year. For some strange reason, Valentines Day in kindergarten is celebrated by allowing students to dress up like their favorite character. For a special snack, the cotton candy man [AKA"barbe a papa" - which, literally translated, means "beard of father"] comes to school.

I still wonder who on earth confused Halloween with Valentines Day when they established holiday traditions at GWA...
