Protests in Casablanca
First and foremost, please pray for the American school in Tunisia. While these protests have been newsworthy throughout North Africa lately (including in Casablanca), we want you to be assured that we are safe. Any protests that may have happened in Casablanca have been insignificant and far removed from both GWA and our hometown outside of Casablanca. Due to the school's close proximity to the king's palace, GWA is highly secured and monitored by the local government in addition to our own security personnel. As for Dar Bouazza, please understand that we live miles away from the center of Casablanca. While some rambunctious kids did write "don't hate" on our car window the other day, we feel that we live in an incredible community filled with numerous Moroccan families who will watch out for us. We will remain cautious when it comes to making trips into the city.
