Everything Bagels

Everything bagels have been a recurring request of Nicole's every time someone starts planning their trip to Morocco. Evidently, however, her request has not been taken very seriously because there have been no everything bagels to coincide with the arrival of our visitors...until now. :)

Congrats to Kevin and Brie for being the first ones to deliver such an incredible treat:
As much as we appreciate getting these little pieces of America delivered to us, they are obviously not necessary. We love welcoming friends/family into our home, and we thoroughly enjoy showing visitors around Morocco. Our friends Kevin and Brie planned an intense tour of Morocco. Entirely on their own they conquered driving in Moroccan traffic, rode camels in the Sahara desert, shopped through the Marrakech medina, beat us to Ouzoud Waterfalls, etc. Before and after their adventures, they spent time with us in Casablanca. Even though our time with them was limited, we still had some pretty memorable moments...

After picking Kevin and Brie up from the airport last Saturday, we immediately drove to Hay Hassani for Dave's weekly Saturday soccer game. Getting over jet lag was simply not a priority with soccer as the other option. Dave sported his new soccer shoes during the game, which are getting wildly varied reviews and a lot of attention. Your thoughts?

On the same day, after napping of course, we toured the Haboose market for souvenirs and went to Rick's Cafe. We also ventured past some camel butchers near the Haboose. We fully intend to go back someday and buy some camel meat...

On Sunday, we dropped Kevin and Brie off at the Hassan II Mosque. Later, we met back up with them for some more excellent food followed by surfing lessons. We are both very impressed by the fact that Kevin and Brie both got up on their boards fairly quickly.
