Small changes truly make a substantial impact when turning a house into a home.
This year, we have done a much better job of making our "home". We love where we live, and we love how we have enhanced the basic furnishings that were provided with it. We have been gradually adding things throughout our apartment all year, but we are currently ecstatic about our most recent renovations:
Since Dave is such an awesome surfer now, we hired a carpenter to build us a surf board rack.
Confession: we had been using this cardboard box to cover up the butane tank for our stove:
(This was actually our second cardboard box cover. The first box died from grease overload)

We hired the same carpenter to design and build a butane tank cabinet to replace cardboard box #2.
& it even has a drawer on top!

This carpenter also built us shelves in our kitchen cabinets! Prior to having these shelves installed, we were using the spare bedroom closet as a pantry since there wasn't enough shelf space in the kitchen.
We also hung up some pottery plates that we just bought in Safi when Dad & Mary were here
